WOMENS PROFESSIONAL SOCCER IS BACK

You heard it right. 5 years after falling apart Womens soccer will be coming back in spring 2009. There will be 7 teams in the league. Locations have been chosen, THEM BEING- LOS ANGELES, NY/NJ, ST. LOUIS, WASHINGTON DC, BOSTON, CHICAGO, AND DALLAS. What stadiums they will play in has yet to be revealed but perhaps they will be allowed to play in MLS stadiums, or the same place where MLS teams play. Womens soccer legend Mia Hamm was behind the new league as they planned to open it again right after the WUSA folded in 2003. The webiste can be found here.

Poor O Babayaro

O where did BABA go. No one seems to know where and why he left the GALAXY. We know he didnt get cut. He is to good for that. Plus they would of easily said he didnt make the team. But there is a bigger issue behind it which the Galaxy are hiding. Someone needs to speak up. IF anyone knows where he went. please inform us!

Fulham USA

Team America faced off against Everton today in a showdown of the 5th and 19th placed teams. If you haven't watched the game it was complete domination by Fulham. They controlled the ball practically the entire game. Spent almost the entire game on the Everton side of the pitch. Fulham won 1-0 but were able to hold on despite having scored first 11 times this season and not winning one of those games. American Brian Mcbride score the only goal of the game on a pass by Davies in which he headed into the net past American keeper Tim Howard. Eddie Johnson showed a good game but his shooting was poor. No one could match his speed as he opened plenty of opportunities. He shot the ball 4 times. One sailed just over the bar to make fans hold their breathe. but one went so high it made Fulham's coach look at his assistants and shake his head. Despite the win Fulham remains at 19th place but only 4 points away from moving out of the relegation zone. On top of that. Their remaining games are not difficult playing 4 teams in or right next to the relegation area. I doubt Fulham is going to be relegated by watching the way they played today.
